Section 01

Overview

The following summary explains the circumstances that led me to seek repayment through legal proceedings.

I met Gamoise Baugh through the dating application Hinge in early May 2026. We communicated regularly by telephone, Instagram and text message.

During our conversations, Mr. Baugh told me that he invested in gold and managed investments for other people. He asked whether I would be interested in investing money with him and represented that the investment offered a high return within a short period.

In June 2026, Mr. Baugh asked me to transfer money by Interac e-Transfer so that he could invest it on my behalf. He told me that the money would be returned within two to three weeks, even if repayment had to come from his own personal paycheque.
